The semiconductor industry in Southeast Asia is rapidly gaining momentum, with countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand competing to become regional leaders. Driven by the rising global demand for AI and electric vehicles, Malaysia has unveiled a bold National Semiconductor Strategy, targeting RM500 billion (USD 107 billion) in investments and aiming to train 60,000 engineers.

Singapore, too, is making strides, with its semiconductor sector contributing 7% to national GDP and generating over SGD 133 billion in manufacturing output.
