Malaysia’s Brightest Minds Gather at SRIE 2021

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 NOVEMBER 201 – The Selangor R&D and Innovation Expo 2021 (SRIE) will be held from 18 – 21 November 2021 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Themed ‘Inspiring Tomorrow, Today’ will gather visitors from all over the ASEAN region for this hybrid event.

SRIE2021 is an umbrella under the annual Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) comprising three expositions and four international conferences, organised by the State Government of Selangor.

The four-day business event offers a physical exhibition with conferences, R&D competition, the STEM AR National Challenge and knowledge sharing programmes. SRIE will also be available on-line and visitors may follow selected proceedings live. The virtual segment of SRIE 2021 will allow a larger and more diverse group of attendees to connect and network on-line.

Whilst the main focus will be the showcase of new inventions and innovations, SRIE encompasses the entire eco-system of the research and development industry, from funding to Intellectual property to lab and research equipment. Some of the companies that will be present include Aerodyne Group, Technology Park Malaysia, Selgem, Forest Research Institute Malaysia, Medidata, Foresight and IKOP.

According to Dato’ Hasan Azhari Hj Idris, Chief Executive Officer Invest Selangor Berhad, “The opportunity of digitalising Selangor International Business Summit will help to reaffirm the credibility of the smart state status in leading the adoption of technology in doing business and at the same time, provide timely assistance for entrepreneurs in time of crisis, the response from our past exhibitor has been good so far”.

The official Opening Ceremony will be attended by Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Amir Shah, Raja Muda Selangor, accompanied by Yang Amat Berhormat Menteri Besar Selangor, YAB Dato Seri Amirudin bin Shari.
